Filmmaker (writer/producer/director), PhD with the Institute of Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice at the University of British Columbia (research focus Indigenous Documentary) and a performance artist (ACTRA).
Swampy Cree storyteller, and member of Attawapiskat First Nation. Living in Vancouver as a visitor on the Unceded Ancestral lands of the Coast Salish Peoples.
Completed undergrad degree in Theatre from Concordia University in Montreal, and Masters in Documentary Media at Ryerson University (with Honours).
Owner of VisJuelles Production Inc. and I have a number of productions in the works. My television series “AskiBOYZ” is currently airing on APTN here in Canada. Three CBC docs “NiiSoTeWak” “OshKiKiShiKaw” and “KaYaMenTa” all available on CBC GEM.
In pre-production with my next short film MisTik and my feature film “Broken Angel” (aiming to shoot this fall). Developing my next television series “Truth in Toronto” and my ROMCOM feature “Love Your Enemy”.
Also, working on my second book “Moccasin Souls” with Kegedonce Press.
I am the voice of Layla (Molly’s mom) on the award winning animated series “Molly of Denali”.
In my past life, I worked in the social service sector (senior management - shelter, second stage housing, and with incarcerated women).
