Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Heshaam Jaaber born January 28 1956 is a second generation American born Muslim, the son of the late Hajj Heshaam Jaaber, the man made his way into history by performing the Janaza (Islamic Funeral Prayer) for El-Hajj Malik Shabazz aka Malcolm X in 1965. Sheikh Muhammad Jaaber is the recipient of the oldest indigenous Orthodox (Sunni) Islamic organization in America; the Addenu Allahe Universal Arabic Association (A.A.U.A.A.), founded in 1936 by the late Professor Muhammad Elzadeen. Sheikh Muhammad works in the capacity of a lecturer and Imam in both New York and New Jersey Masjids. He is the author of the book Color Me Muslim, an autobiography of his life experiences growing up Muslim in Jim Crow South, New York City and abroad in the Muslim world. His book has inspired thousands of Muslim youth, giving them hope and courage in times of despair. His greatest aspiration is to bring his story to the greater Muslim community by way of film. He founded JABCO Films Productions solely for that purpose. Besides that he is best known for his unrelenting pursuit in the preservation of Islamic History.
