Have done experimental research utilizing DNA to direct the self-assembly of composite materials. (Quantum dots of various size attached to ssDNA via peptide bonds -> PCR to catalyze self assembly -> SEM/TEM imaging)

Promotes the development of bottom-up molecular manufacturing systems inspired from biology (DNA origami, nanozymes, wetware). Physical scarcity is one of the greatest sources of conflict around the world and the sustainable decentralization of manufacturing should be a top priority for humankind.

Advocate for reform and accountability within the US cannabis industry. There are powers which seek to use the cannabis plant as a cash cow (both within government and within industry) at the expense of people’s health and wellbeing. These powers must not be allowed to operate without proper scrutiny and accountability by public observers. The cannabis industry can be a vehicle for tremendous good- however, we must be vigilant against bad actors in the space to ensure the industry’s proper development as the US moves towards legalization. I fully support the mindful and responsible use of cannabis and psychedelics (such a psilocybin) for mental and spiritual development.

Advocate for STEM education reform. Professional societies, publishing houses, and major academic journals have stifled the free expression and crossdisciplinarity attitudes that are necessary for the elevation of good ideas and creative individuals.
