Bio

Data Science Fellow at Springboard currently focusing on leveraging machine learning-based approaches towards facilitating human decision making in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. Areas of interest include text mining/information retrieval, biomedical natural language processing, and health recommender systems.

I received a PhD in Chemistry from Princeton University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University. My research background focused on oncology drug discovery. Prior to beginning the Data Science program at Springboard, I was a certified medical publications professional with experience in the following therapeutic areas: 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (i.e., non-small cell lung cancer, thyroid cancer, endometrial cancer, urothelial cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, small cell lung cancer), 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (i.e., paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, persistent atrial fibrillation), 𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (i.e., migraine), 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 (i.e., asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (i.e., psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, inflammatory bowel disease, ankylosing spondylitis), and 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝘆 (i.e., schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder).
