I research digital surveillance, AI ethics, and inequality in U.S. prisons. My current project investigates public-private partnerships and the affordances and consequences of tablets in prisons.
I teach classes on the impacts of human, social, and institutional structures on data and technology, as well as the forces of computing, AI, and predictive analytics on our individual and social lives.
