Bio

Melvin & Marvin Coleman are the owner operators of Inkwell Pictures, a multimedia production company launched in January 2015. The brothers who founded God Blessed Productions in 2001 continue to write, direct, and produce some of the hottest live shows, web series, sitcoms, shorts and feature films in the bay area and beyond. Using their experience in live stand-up comedy, improvisation and multidimensional stage plays, the Coleman Brothers have produced a number of wildly entertaining theatrical productions and indie films.

Inkwell Pictures has produced a number of hit stage productions such as “IF HE ONLY KNEW”, which is currently one of the hottest stage productions on YouTube with over 3,000,000 views and climbing. GOLD DIGGERS, MAN OF GOD, HE’S MY MAN, and BIG GIRLS NEED LOVE TOO to name a few. They are currently in production of their first period piece called “LORRAINE” about the green book hotel in Memphis made famous as the site in which civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated.

Inkwell Pictures is also active in television and internet production. The company is currently in pre-production for its new hit web series Fade To Black and the 2nd season of the sitcom "Man Cave". Also in the works are the 2nd season of Mocha Brown's Coffee Lounge, My Life Interrupted, Black Book, and The Fallen and the Faithful. They are also preparing a very aggressive production schedule in 2021 for several feature films and shorts such as, FEAR, RACIAL PANDEMIC, CATCH A TIGER, LOVE IN CONTEXT, WAY OF THE SWORD, AND CHRISTMAS WEDDING.

Despite a busy production schedule, the brother always find a way to stay committed to teaching, cultivating, and presenting new actors, comedians, film makers, and artist from every genre to the entertainment community. They routinely conduct a series of acting classes called THINK, FEEL, ACT… and a social event where indie film makers can present their creative works called “THE URBAN ARTS & FILM SOCIAL”. Their model for succeeding in the entertainment industry is not to find an open door with opportunities, but to make a door to walk through.”
