His forthcoming chapbook La Kapital (DWA Press 2021) is a collaboration with artist Leonardo Ilianov that explores class and language in Santo Domingo, Dhaka and New York City through personal essays and art.

His debut, On the Tip of Your Mother’s Tongue, is the winner of Thirty West’s 2020 Chapbook Contest and his short story, "Without a Big One," won the PEN Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers and appears in PEN America Best Debut Short Stories for 2019.

He received a scholarship from the NY State Writers Institute. He’s a Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance grantee and VONA alumnus. He holds an MFA from The New School.
