“Your parenting history doesn’t have to be your parenting approach”~Tawanda McIntosh

👩🏾‍🦱 I grew up in the foster care system by the time I was 4 years of age. My mother was heavy into drugs and my bio father was killed in a single car accident when I was two years of age. By the time I was 12 years of age my mother was murdered, I was officially an orphan. My foster parents went on to obtain guardianship of me. Who parented me, what was I going to bring to the table when I had kids! I wanted to break the cycle of abuse and neglect and know that my parenting history doesn’t have to be passed down to me. I wanted better for my children. It’s not always easy to show up but it’s definitely worth it. ❤️

👉🏽I had the pleasure of meeting the authors of Love & Logic and reflecting on how they set the stage for supporting families. They changed my life and now I have the pleasure of changing the lives of others.

👉🏽I’ve enjoyed the fast pace of Vegas and being able to connect with hundreds of families throughout the years.

👉🏽I have a Masters in Education with a Specialization in Child Development and hold an undergraduate degree in Social Work. I possess a comprehensive background in child development, nutrition, health, and safety.

👉🏽I am a member Zero to Three as well as an Independent Love and Logic facilitator utilizing the Early Childhood Made Fun and Parenting the Love & Logic Way curriculum.
