Bio

Cities, innovation, digitalization and urban sustainability @ UN-Habitat.

My team and I also set up the first United Nations Innovation Technology Accelerator for Cities (UNITAC) in Hamburg (Germany) where we’ll test and pilot ideas around digital governance, people-centered smart cities, spatial mapping and data visualization.

In addition, we’re running the Climate Smart Cities Challenge, a co-creation project with the cities of Bristol (UK), Bogotá (Colombia), Curitiba (Brazil), and Makindye Ssabagabo (Uganda).

I’m also implementing the Go Blue programme together with @ UNEP on creating a sustainable blue economy through integrating land/urban and marine planning at the Kenyan coast.

📍Nairobi (KE). Previously in Washington, DC (US), London (UK), Maastricht (NL), Granada (ES), Hasliberg (CH) and Heidelberg (DE). Traveled to over 50 countries.
