Erin Mahone is a counselor, author, facilitator, and keynote speaker helping diverse audiences navigate difficult conversations related to mental health, neurodiversity, and trauma.
As the founder of The #IfYouCouldSeeMe Project, a multi-media storytelling initiative, Mahone facilitates groups in the development of new personal narratives that make meaning from pain, transform trauma into resilience, and change perceptions.
Mahone completed her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Longwood University with an interest in Narrative Therapy and its effectiveness in the treatment of complex trauma. She is a Clinical Supervisor, intensive in-home and Outpatient Counselor in Residence at Counseling and Advocacy Associates in Midlothian, Va, and provides therapeutic supports to children and their families.
Mahone is the author of the book, If You Could See Me: Life, Motherhood, and the Pursuit of Sanity, a TEDx presenter, and speaks frequently on the intersection of creativity, compassion, and change.
