The Gods look down on us and Smile
Wishing they could help ,They hear our prayers for peace, They hear us crying in the night
But due to the sins of the father
They can only whisper,”it’s going to be alright “
So we stand when our legs are tired and walk through the hell ahead
We sing quietly, softly believing no one can hear
Waiting on that tear of faith to fall signaling the end is near
I can only tell you of my journey, yours I do not know
But between all of us we’ve reaped what our fathers have sowed
