Bio

Inspired by legendary artists like Etta James, Chaka Kahn and Aretha Franklin, Erika Gamble has always kept a positive attitude and has never taken ‘no’ as a final answer, she strives for greatness, pushing herself beyond thinkable limits, and always keeps in the back of her mind that with great struggle, she will gain great success in uncommon hours. With a versatile singing voice framed with vocal-pop, laced with jazz, a hint of R&B, and just a dash of Neo-Soul her singing style simply defies the boundaries of any genre. It is clear that each style stands on its’ own and she brings forth sounds just as unique as the art form itself. 

The vocal pop-influenced vocalist, born Erika Daniellé Gamble in Chicago 1991, developed her stage presence and pipes through performing and singing show tunes to the Lion King Stage play, for Dominican University Alumni Association Dinner at age four. Her father, who was an accomplished musician and leader of the band DICE, was clearly instrumental in bringing her up to become a music virtuoso, to have a talent and appreciation for all types of music. 

Growing up between four major cities Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco and Atlanta she has taken the best of the music, the culture, the flavor and the flare from these cities and made it uniquely her own. Honing her skills under the rigors of church choir rehearsals, talent show performances, modeling school and voice coaching by her father she has emerged onto the scene with poise and grace. Performing at age 13 on stage with R&B Artist Lenny Williams; at age 17 she wrote her first song “Shinning”, and performed it at the Sydney Opera House  while on a six-week tour in Australia representing the country as an Eisenhower United States Student Ambassador. Her musical talents also include a gospel CD where she sang vocals with Not By Site on their CD “The Return and most recent works with Kaleb Gary who engineered and co-writer on “Man of the House”, also FT with Well Put Will, Detriot native that has also helped with Gambles career. Currently you can catch Erika every Tuesday at TakeOffATL at the TreeHouse Lounge in Atlanta, Ga.
