Bio

Sherrita C W Delacruz is a native of Greensboro NC. She is gifted in many areas of artistic expression. From providing audio production for nationally acclaimed, award winning clients to painting visuals to accompany published works of poetry, her gifts make room for her. She is versatile and passionate about all her work. Her first love, writing, is the one element that has impacted her life the most. Since the age of 8, Sherrita has utilized poetry and short stories to express and confess the joy and pain of her journey. She speaks of trials, encouragement, love, and spiritual enlightenment in her prose on stage as well as her other artistic endeavors. She is a true testimony of the goodness of God.

Her hip hop induced debut EP, Ulterior Motive, was released in 2015 on www.bandcamp.com. The legendary spoken word poet and activist, Max Parthas, said it was "smooth riding music and poetry put together to make you feel great!" In August 2019, she released a beat CD, The Cypha Sessions Edition 1.0 on www.bandcamp.com. Upon the release of this project, Sherrita is the first female beatmaker in Greensboro, NC to release an instrumental beat CD. It received rave review in the popular music publication, Insomniac Magazine the month of its release. 

Sherrita recites whenever she can to be an inspiration to those within the sound of her voice. As of 2023, she has been reciting poetry on stage for 23 years. Sherrita has engaged audiences as a featured poet in and around the continental US, including the Augusta Arts Festival in 2019.

She is involved in various other endeavors to uplift and encourage the world around her. Her company, Esoterica Entertainment, proudly sponsors a monthly event exclusively for poetry on Clubhouse called "Nouns and Verb Poetry" in Partners in Rhyme. She also host a podcast called "The Middlepage Podcast" powered by BLAST Music 247 on YouTube. She became a contributing writer for Onyx Urban Magazine in 2022. This honor gave her the opportunity to write and share her experiences and expressions with engaging and entertaining perspective! She is also a strong advocate for mental health and domestic violence awareness.
