I took my last few thousand and moved my wife and 3 children from DETROIT to HOUSTON. Thinking I would quickly find a job and housing a made no prior calls for work. Nothing went as planned. We were forced to live in a tiny hotel room for months. I had a family to care for so I started knocking on doors to see if people needed a lawn guy. Eventually I met a real estate investor who needed lawn work for his properties. After working for him for a while I asked him if he would teach me to FLIP houses because I wanted more for my family. He surprisingly said NO! I was shocked. I went home and started researching the info myself and put together what I thought would work. Turned out I got a deal under contract and made $11K in 17 days.
