Hi I’m Sylvia Thomas I opened a business in the middle of the pandemic and made 6 figures in 4 months. I opened The House of Detroit Luxury Furniture, one of the first black women under 30 years old to open a furniture store in the Detroit Metro area!
I started my luxury furniture store because of 2 reasons:
1. I could not find luxury furniture at an affordable price
2. I wanted to see the furniture in person before I bought the furniture
I started a lane in my community that no one else did! I let it be known to women that if you want to do something you can do it.
