Saudi Desk Head, Global Private Bank @ HSBC

Hisham Kayal is the Saudi desk head-@ HSBC -UK– part of the Middle East and North Africa global private bank business. His major role is to lead a team of experienced bankers and deliver the one bank approach service coverage to our ultra-high net worth in Saudi Arabia which is an integral approach of HSBC’s global offering to our clients worldwide.

Prior to that, he used to be a director at Credit Suisse Private Bank for the past three years holding the position of a senior relationship manager based out of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

Prior to that Hisham was the Director and Head of Citi Private Bank – UAE and the Team head for Saudi Arabia, where he spent almost ten years. His deep wealth management experience enabled him to advise high net worth Middle Eastern clients through leveraging his global access to provide private banking services in an institutional and investment banking framework.

Prior to joining Citi Private Bank in 2004, Hisham was a Team Head for International Equity at Saudi British Bank, an affiliate of HSBC, where he spent five years leading a team of financial consultants, to enhance the bank’s market positioning.

Hisham started his career as a fund manager in Riyadh at multinational holding company that operates several business activities worldwide and owned by a key Saudi family. He spent six years and rose to the position of Fund Manager/Senior Accountant.

Hisham has been granted the “Excellence Award” from Citi Private Bank; and the “Chairman’s Council Award” – (Asia Pacific & Middle East top revenue growth leaders for 2005 and 2007). He is also the winner of deal of the quarter for 2004 in the Middle East region.

Hisham holds a Master of Science in Wealth Management from Singapore Management University (SMU).

He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from the business school of Bilkent University, Turkey, which is affiliated with John Hopkins University in the USA.
