Bio

I am a ceramic artist living in Vallejo, California. I own and operate a ceramic studio on Mare Island, Vallejo, about 23 miles northeast of San Francisco. The Napa River runs right by my studio. Here is where I let the clay lead the way. My journey with clay started three years ago, and I haven't look back.

I enjoy creating exclusive batches of vibrant color pieces for the home and the dining room table. I also love exploring other forms and décor.
Typically, I incorporate mid-century modern and abstract designs into my ceramics but often enjoy leaving a created piece pure. Nevertheless, I love adding color to surfaces by omitting the final glaze to create a demonstrative contrast between the outside and the glazed inside of the pieces. Often decoration is applied using colorful underglazes, designs, and sometimes carved repeating patterns.
The connection I create between the ceramic piece and collector is essential to me. There is a moment during the creative process, I feel when the vessel is ready, where I visualize the final piece, which will be used on the table or rest on the mantel as décor. That moment is indefinite, forever, and is satisfying in every way as a creative.
