My work embodies the trials and tribulations not only myself, but the black community faces on a day to day basis. Several pieces are inspired by a specific event, emotion, or personal encounter, and then translated onto canvas based on those sentiments. By diving into the exploration of 2-D shapes and elements, I seek to create new solutions for abstraction. Theses concepts then under go a process of consistent construction and destruction until an impactful impression is left behind.

I believe without the individual there is no “one”, similar to a puzzle. Meaning while each detail holds its own importance, it’s key that it corresponds with the others without overpowering or becoming undermined.
