Compassion Fatigue isn't a fancy word for "Burnout". It's a real condition that people working in "Helper" roles are afflicted with. I left my job working as an Infusion RN because Compassion fatigue hit me hard, not just mentally, but physically as well.
I put this website and class together to raise awareness about Compassion Fatigue and to hopefully help others that are suffering like I was before I started working on healing myself. If you think you might be suffering from Compassion Fatigue you should check it out.
