Hashim (b.k.a. “HashimThaDream”) is a Soca/Fusion recording artist from the British Virgin Islands, who has achieved top ratings and several awards for his musical productions around the Caribbean. His signature sound, “Soca With A Twist” (a.k.a “S.W.A.T.”), is a fusion of Soca with Pop, Dancehall and Afrobeat, which was birthed in 2012 from his First OFFICIAL full-length project,“S.W.A.T- The Mixtape”.
He has performed with triple platinum artist Iyaz and Grammy Award Winning Songwriters, R. City, collaborated with Major Lazor Affiliates, Bad Royale and has also opened shows for several top Soca artistes including Machel Montano, Destra Garcia, Kes, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons. He is also a 2-Time International Soca Monarch Semi Finalist and has accumulated over 300,000 views on YouTube through his songs and videos.
Hashim continues to build his name in the music/entertainment industry through his dynamic "S.W.A.T.” brand. He currently resides in his hometown of Tortola, British Virgin Islands where he teaches Music at the Elmore Stoutt High School, is a radio announcer for The FUZE 106.9FM and the co-host of the Urban-Caribbean TV Show, RADAR on 284Media.
