Choice
The first central mystery is Choice.
Choice is. Choice is before God(s), and before rejection of gods.

Choice is not randomness. Choice is not ignorance of the pre-determined result. The proof of this is left as an exercise for the reader. Daily exercise.

Choice is not absolute: there are limits and influences, external and internal. But there’s almost always more choice than we realize.

Choice is not a single act: it’s a Path, a process.

That which increases or preserves choice is “good”.

That which reduces choice is “bad”.

The devil is in the details, but this is the only true basis for a moral system.
