Who is Govanly?
Giovanni Williams born on August 2, 1993 was raised in Olympic Way, Calladium Crescent Kingston, Jamaica, is known professionally as Govanly (formerly known as Giovanni) is a Jamaican Singer, Dejay, Song-writer, and music producer. He is a well-rounded Recording Artist whose aim is to make a positive impact and timeless contributions of quality music in the music industry.
He is Committed and focused on his musical career and path to success. He takes a very hands-on approach to his craft: writing his own music, developing his musical concepts for music videos, directing and of late developing a craft in music-engineering . The Artist has established his own production label called Govanly Music, which he has recently released a few independent projects on songs like “Up hill climb”, “Protect me” and “Highgrade” just to name a few, which can be found on all media platforms including his (GovanlymusicVevo).
The Artist boasts dynamic abilities in singing reggae music and delivering quality dancehall and motivational tunes. Though there is no real preference, the energy is more so focused on music which the people can love and relate to on a world stage. Music for Govanly brings him peace and a way to connect with the world in which he cannot ordinarily do. Music allows him to influence the minds of his audience and inspire them to gravitate to the messages portrayed in his lyrics .
The Artist has worked with various local producers like Konsequence Music on his first debut single called “Progress” (under the name Giovanni), on the popular “True Colours Riddim” and also Ajusdivybz Music on a recent release called “Brick City''. Govanly is set to start the year 2021 with a fiery energy and assure us that we won’t be disappointed and can look forward to receiving exactly what we’ve been missing.
He is determined, dedicated and driven to be amongst the greats in the music fraternity. Govanly stressed that his love for the ladies and his experiences with the fairer sex greatly influenced his music. Govanly plans to make his name and help to revive the Jamaica Music industry by writing authentic songs that will impact and assist in carrying the country's torch even higher.
