Who am I? I have 20 years game design experience, a professor in higher education and community builder.
I work hard to grow the global game development community.
My biggest community focused project: Global Game Jam and GGJ NEXT, Creator and Co-Founder, a 501(c)3, President & Board Member (retired). It will always be my pride and joy.
GGJ brings together over 50K people a year from around the world to create and develop game/prototypes. The event is held simultaneously in ~115 countries over the course of one weekend in January. The jam creates between 3-10k games in 48 hours. With 40% of jammers working in the game industry, 30% from other fields, 30% students, the creative process flourishes in the jam environment.
GGG NEXT is a program developed to foster young creators, developing STEAM skills while learning how to collaborate in teams.
