Medicine is global. Healthcare is local. At the moment, local for me is Shanghai, China— leading a rapidly expanding, first of its kind healthcare system, with the COVID detour thrown in.
It’s been a fantastic road from Chicago, Boston, SF, LA, DC and around APAC. As much as I’ve been humbled by the fidelity of medicine, the outcome is determined by the reality of healthcare. These local realities are a must know whether planning business or planning a vacation.
