Bio

As a physician, author, advocate, and an early leader in the Indivisible movement, I worked with other progressive leaders to actively shape the Indivisible revolution from rural Iowa. I have been blessed to go from small-town doctor to political activist, county candidate, Chair of the Iowa Democratic Party's Rural Caucus Chair, and Minden City Councilman. I am an outspoken advocate for rural Iowa and seniors and have been featured internationally on programs such as NPR, CNN, Yahoo Finance, and countless local outlets as the Medical Director for multiple Long Term Care facilities, hospices, and medical boards. I lead with a vision of making our government of maximum benefit to all Americans; that our country and people may be an example of charitable and humanitarian values and ways of life.
