Bio

I am the C.E.O and Cofounder of GeroCare Solutions Ltd, a health tech company on a mission to pioneer medical inclusion by leveraging technology to provide access to medical care to under served segments of people across Africa beginning with the thr elderly and those in remote rural areas.

GeroCare was selected as one of the top 50 Business innovations in Africa exhibited at the Africa Innovation Summit 2018, Kigali, Rwanda, one of the top 30 African health innovations by the world health organization (W.H.O) showcased at the World Health Forum in Cape Verde in March, 2019 and winner of the best of the Nigerian Start up ecosystem tour organized by AfricArena and featured at the AfricArena Summit 2019 in Cape Town, South Africa in November 2019 and most recently received the award for outstanding Digital health innovation from the health care communication group.

I have been a medical doctor for close to 20 years now with degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, a certificate in Geriatric Care from the University of Benin Teaching Hospital and University college hospital, Ibadan and a strategic Innovations consultant with Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from UCSI University Malaysia where he graduated as the top student in his graduating set and was trained in the art and science of the blue ocean strategy (a strategic innovation methodology to convert any product, service or business model from mundane to innovative in 6 steps guaranteed) at their South East Asia regional Centre.

I am also the Managing Director and Principal Consultant of Barth Consulting Nigeria Limited and have been the medical director of a Bayelsa State state government hospital and Head of Medical Services for Bayelsa Health Services Scheme (a state owned health insurance scheme).
