Here is my story behind why I came up with the name Root of Empowerment. When I was an 11 month old baby I was introduced to child protective services until the age of 18. I grew up having to survive on my own mentally, physically, and spiritually. Thankfully I had 3 sets of grandparents that took me and my sister in. I grew up resenting my parents, for not being there when I needed them the most. I was lost as a little girl trying to survive for myself and little sister. I experienced molestation, mental abuse, spiritual abuse, I was withdrawn, I was lost and did not have a voice. I felt unworthy and lost. The list can go on.

This brand name came to me about 2 years ago and was implemented this year 2020. When I looked backed at my life I remembered how I had to survive in order to be who and where I am today. I had to understand that at a young age that When you dig deep in your trauma it heals you. You have to focus on who you really are, you have to love everything about you even when no one else could see the perseverance, you have to embrace imperfect moments why? because its those roots that you buried that have caused you to empower yourself.
