Peace Clubhouse Community,


I am an Afrofuturist artist, writer, dancer, speaker, filmmaker and facilitator. A woman of Xamaycan descent (Taino, African, South Indian and European descent) who believes strongly in the power of creativity and the imagination as a means of elevating our collective consciousness.

My interests interweave Indigenous forms of knowledge within modern times.

As a storyteller my work explores the nuance and complexity of race, neurodiverence and gender. I believe that stories have the capacity to be medicine or poison, I strive to create for the purpose of medicine. Medicine to collapse poisonous perceptions that keep us separate as a human collective and from our only home; Earth.

My work has been presented at Detroit’s Allied Media Conference, University of Toronto, McGill University, Guelph University, Dawson College. I have been published in For Harriet, The Peak Mag, POC Organize, rabble.ca, Canadian Dimension and Muslimah Media Watch.

I believe strongly that it is possible to overcome separation, and it all comes down to bravely changing our stories, while not forgetting the past. Our Ancestors no matter their lineage, are all looking at us saying: “Y’all gotta try something new!” Let’s do it fam. We are more powerful than we let on.
