I’m just a girl from the East side of Houston, home of chemical plants and great football - a math geek who happened to stumble into the Professional Salon Industry on her way out of adolescent demise.

I became a professional hairstylist in 2001...built and lost my business BTC 3 times, opened a salon at 25, with no business owning a business...

And owning a salon almost killed me...it’s broken my heart, my confidence and my bank account, as I listened to society and this industry tell me what to do, who I was and the little I was capable of.

I’ve been a six-figure earner BTC, owned a profitable, award-winning, 7-figure, salon, been a educator/speaker around the nation, run the business education division for a manufacturer and blah, blah, blah...

Accolades and awards lists don’t matter until this industry moves in a different direction - one where we aren’t taken advantage of, we understand our power and impact we have on the world, and that we deserve to get paid for all we do.
