Fizz Pop is the pseudonym of a Vancouver based Artist developing a traditional & digital painting practice.

The use of a pseudonym aims to reclaim privacy & security, enhance creative freedom & connect with the public through our new digital potential.

After an Undergrad in Visual Studies, Fizz advanced an artistic practice which investigates both traditional & digital painting. The discontinuation of the cibachrome, combined with the closing of Rare Gallery (Fizz’s New York gallery representation), guided the painting practice to traditional mediums, as the digital projects rested dormant from 2011-2021.

The non-fungible token awakens a fascinating potential to complete old editions and release new paintings from this vast body of work.

Please view the ongoing project being showcased on opensea. This project, that was formed from 2001-2011, examines contemporary still life and landscape painting through the digital medium. The generative project follows an intuitive growth which can be followed as the NFTs are steadily released. The project begins with the library of elements, which are imagined, pop-up-book-style plants, insects and other objects.
