My name is Filippo Marta and I am 24 years old. I was born in Milan, where I still live and work. I graduated in stage photography at the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan in 2016. Alongside several collaborations as a freelance in the audiovisual field, I hold a position of post-production manager in the multimedia design studio Karmachina.

Photography was my first language. I love the contrast between black and white and the shades of grey. Light is my primary tool. Photo-graphy, that is writing with light: a person who works with images holds the power to switch light on; I like to switch it off in order to start re-writing it from dark.

Videos have been my chance encounter, mostly thanks to my collaboration with Karmachina since 2017. They are a reality of great working, social and artistic value to which I am still linked and within which I deepen the vast relationship between video and space.

On the other hand, my freelance activity allows me to get involved into a large variety of projects in the visual field; this makes my work a journey full of continuous new experiences.
