My organization is called My Sister's House, I'm based out of Kenosha, WI. We help families and individuals in need in our communities. Right now I'm here to network and get justice for my Brother Orsino Thurman. He was a marcher who walked from Milwaukee to Washington DC in August of 2020. While on the march, the group was ambushed by racist gun tooting resident in Bedford, PA. At this time Orsino was shot and has undergone numerous surgeries due to the shooting. Now almost 10 months later the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has decided to bring chargers against Orsion, but have dropped almost all the chargers against the shooter. We are seeking platforms and assistance in getting his story out. The county of Bedford and State of Pennsylvania have allowed mishandling of the case since day one. No proper investigation was ever done, and only 19 of about 56 victims in this shooting, were subpoenaed to come to Pennsylvania to "testify" against Terry Myers, the 51 year old racist resident, who shot upon a group of peaceful marchers including women and children, shooting and permanently injuring Mr. Thurman. The hospital that the group first arrived at seeking medical attention for a shooting victim, did not provide adequate care for Orsino, the nurse going as far to relase all of his information to social media. Where after, he started recieving death threats. Due to the Pennsylvania DA's refusal to provide security and accommodations for witnesses to attend as subpoenaed, witnesses were unable to attend and out of 40 charges for Terry Myers, only 8 were left in place. Giving Myers and The State of Pennsylvania the opportunity to gloat on there so called win for the day. At at time where Cino could have thought about himself, he thought about our group and tried to keep us all from being killed that night. Because Myers did not come to talk, he came to kill. But Cino diverted the attention of this mad man to himself, giving us time to escape. I could never repay what Cino did for us that day. But I can try. So I'm standing up with my Brother in arms, and seeking justice to be done in this situation.
