Fidel Arizmendi was born in Mexico City and has had an award-winning career both in advertising as well as film and TV in the United States over the past 30 years.
Fidel started out in television working on such distinguished shows as “Family Ties,” “Mission Impossible,” “Down Home,” “Dear John.” This led him to work on two of the most successful shows in the history of television, “Home Improvement” and “Roseanne.”
After 14 years of working in television, Fidel grew restless with the depiction of Latinos on national TV. It was then he recognized an opportunity to change that. He joined La Agencia de Orcí, where he remained for the next eight years, demolishing stereotypes and educating clients on the nature and complexity of the Latino experience in the United States. He handled accounts such as Washington Mutual, Verizon, Allstate, Shell, and Honda, which under his watch became the number-one car sold to Latinos.
He has been working for Mezcal El Silencio for the past five years, developing the brand and shooting all of their brand advertising. @elsilencio
