'Umar B. Al-Khattaab [D. 23H] [رضي الله عنه] said:
❝Beware of the people of opinion [Ar-Ra'ee]: for indeed they are enemies of the Sunan [The Prophetic Tradition]. They became weary of memorising Ahaadeeth [plural of Hadeeth], so they spoke with opinion so they went astray and they led others astray.❞

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah [رحمه الله] said:
«والصحابة لما كانوا أعلم الناس بالتوحيد والسنة؛ لم يطمع الشيطان أن يضلهم كما أضل غيرهم من أهل البدع.»
❝Since the Companions were those who were the most knowledgeable of the people about Tawheed and the Sunnah, therefore, the Shaytaan could not aspire to misguide them as he misguided others of the people of Bida'.❞

Abu Bakr Al-Arabi [رحمه الله] said:
