Bio

Retired state public servant who has over 20 years experience in radio & TV news, who worked in multi-cultural health, wellness, community relations, & later as an Agent with Oregon Department of Justice Crime Victims Composition Program and a trained Victims Advocate. Also in my journalism career of 19 years,

We took a break for two years and managed a state Bone Marrow Donor Program, managed marrow donor donations coordinated marrow transplants, a part of the NMDP.

I had a great career, during all these years of work my wife and I decided to go back to college and we both earned Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Ministry together and served as unpaid Ministers with a national denominational organization and then with a newly built church organization in the greater Portland , OR area.

We counseled and advised couples desiring to get married & couples married who were going through difficulties in their marriage using a faith based approach to counsel and help, assist others in their lives of faith.

We faithfully did that until my wife was diagnosed with cancer & she lost a kidney, because of her illness we stepped down from our 14 years of ministry and duties to focus our attentions to my wife’s recovery.

My wife is still fighting some effects of the cancer & surgery, and we are blessed to be enjoying life. After retiring from the state, I needed to be busy and I was honored to work as a Campus Public Safety Officer with a downtown Portland college, eventually becoming the Campus Safety Director until illness forced me to retire again.

Overall I have had a great life, a life of service to my fellow humans either via accurate, non-biased news & information, community relations, outreach, health and wellness multicultural outreach to bring an agent for the DOJ and serving as the Campus Public Safety Manager safeguarding, protecting the college campus, buildings, staff, and most of all students in a college campus in the middle of a rapidly changing urban district. It’s been fun, my wife, and I plan to do some travel, we always wanted to do.

Sorry to write so much for all to rbut all the experiences made who I am today, a married parent if 3 children and five beautiful granddaughters, and one great grandson!!!! Now that is all I will share thanks to those who read all of this.
