🌎 A fifth-generation Californio with a multi-cultural background, I’m an award-winning journalist who navigates the world in search of unexpected and enlightening stories:

✍🏼My dozens of outlets include: New York Times (Cuba, Rapa Nui, Channel Islands), Conde Nast Traveler (Patagonia, Baja California, Corsica) The Hollywood Reporter (Bollywood, International Documentary Association, Director interviews: John Woo, Mira Nair, etc.

🥃🌿I’ve also cultivated deep contacts in the distilled spirits and licensed cannabis industries over the last two decades, writing feature articles about topics ranging from the emergence of premium mezcal (Robb Report/2009) and the rise of Colombia’s legal cannabis market (WeedMaps News/2018) to a cover story about key players in the legendary Emerald Triangle (Marijuana Venture/2020). I also had the high honor of being a judge at the 1997 High Times Cannabis Cup (Amsterdam).

🎬My scripted projects have earned recognition at multiple film festivals including the Austin Film Festival, Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival and the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.
