Bio

Creative director, programmer, festival producer, and cultural entrepreneur with extensive 30 years experience across the Middle East and in Europe promoting and managing emerging artists from the Arab world. In addition a strong media relations, and skilled in messaging the value of culture to explore issues of identity and roots, and to humanise perceived differences.

I founded Arts Canteen in 2010, a leading platform for London’s diaspora arts scene, facilitating the exchange of art and ideas across social and geographical boundaries. Also founded Arab Women Artists Now - AWAN Festival in 2015, a yearly phenomenal and independent platform bringing together a diverse and exciting Arab female artists to share their works , worlds, experiences and wonderful talent with new audiences.

Finally I founded of the ever-popular comedy show “Arabs Are Not Funny” featuring finest up and coming stand-up comedians from the Arab World and surrounding regions.
