Call me Dar. I wanted to run as the Philippines' President when I was 12 years old. After seeing the craziness that goes into politics, I decided to just make a difference by helping Filipinos plan their lives instead.
Creating the Belle de Jour Power Planner 15 years ago inspired the vision of a community of empowered women. More than just a planner or paper product, BDJ is one's goal keeper and witness to the ups and downs of the year. With the combination of beautiful artworks, inspirational special pages, time management-based layout, and exclusive coupons from local companies, the planner provides a unique value to Filipinas. The planner grows into a brand that Bellas needed to experience through events and online activities.
The success of the planner has created various opportunities for the company to create customized planners for other brands, other than creating campaigns and activities that engage with our community of women.
I was awarded as one of Outstanding ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs back in 2017. I am also one of the youngest Agora Awardees for Entrepreneurship (2012) as well as the Mansmith Young Market Masters Awardee for Entrepreneurship in 2010. My previous work in Summit Media Publications, Johnson & Johnson Philippines, Procter & Gamble Philippines, and my education in UP DIliman Business Administration and Accountancy have allowed me to be trained in all aspects of running a business.
How I started my business (Viviamo!) was a story of failure, but by writing down my goals I was able to change things around. It started with the design and conceptualization of our first product the Belle de Jour Power Planner. In past years, we have been able to empower Filipinas who use our planner to be more courageous with their dreams as well take small steps towards it.
