📚My #pivotdontquit Story

Growing up, I always knew I’d be a physical therapist. I was on the straight and narrow path to that goal.

I kept my head down, and worked hard, and never let anything get in my way to get there.

I cried at graduation.

Half of those tears were ones of relief for living through the misery that was PT school.

Half of those tears were ones of question.... “Now what?” “This is is?”

Pivot: Quit my first job out of school, 6 months in.

Pivot: Coached Cross Country skiing for a year as I evaluated what I truly wanted out of my career.

Pivot: Found a great PT job, but transferred after 3 months to a clinic where I’d have more autonomy.

Pivot: I started network marketing, when we were told we were being evicted from our home.

Pivot: Became a Therapeutic Pain Specialist to be able to serve our community in the midst of an opioid epidemic.

Pivot: Moved across the country (CA —> NY).

Pivot: Unemployed for 8 months. Used this time for personal growth.

Pivot: Found great mentorship, ended up switching network marketing companies.

Pivot: Manifested my dream PT job into my life, in the midst of a pandemic.

Pivot: I was laid off 6 months later.

Pivot: I am my own boss, and help people pivot every single day.
