Greetings from Bhutan! Here are some tad bit facts about myself:
* Third culture kid. Lived and studied in the USA, U.K., and India.
* Chevening Scholar. I graduated from the University of Manchester with an MSc in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship.
* Avid basketball and football player, gym nut, amateur chef, and a keen traveller.
* Recent favorite quote “We wanted flying cars, instead we got 140 characters.” - Peter Thiel

I work at Druk Holding and Investments (DHI), the sovereign wealth organization of the Royal Government of Bhutan. DHI has a diverse portfolio holding in various sectors. More specifically, I work in the Innovation and Technology Department. The department’s mission is to undertake research and development in the field of science and technology to create ventures and start-ups, build national intellectual property and establish a platform for innovation, creativity, and jobs for the next generation. The following briefly highlights the current projects I’m working on:

1) National Digital Identity:
A digital identity system that would enable government infrastructure for a digital economy and citizen inclusiveness.

2) Smart City Initiative:
Harness technologies to improve lives and livelihoods for all citizens. The areas for piloting are in water and energy management and also smart transport/mobility systems.

3) Bhutan Open Innovation Lab:
A platform which aims to promote innovation, startups, entrepreneurship, STEM education and collaboration.
