Marcie Strahan, a 26-year educator, is a native of Houston, Texas, and a proud graduate of Aldine Senior High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and Physical Education from Jarvis Christian College in 1995, a Master of Education degree in Health and Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Tyler in 1998, a Master of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University in Counseling in 2001, and an Executive Doctor of Education Degree in Professional Leadership with an emphasis in Social Education at The University of Houston in 2020.

Dr. Strahan began her teaching career in Longview ISD where she was a life skills teacher and coached volleyball and track. She returned to Aldine ISD in 1998 and taught Special Education and coached volleyball and basketball at MacArthur Senior High School before spending 14 years as a guidance counselor at MacArthur 9th Grade School, MacArthur Senior High School, and Hall Center for Education. In 2013, Dr. Strahan started her administrative career at Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., Senior High School before becoming Principal of Hall Center for Education in 2018. After completing a year-long school redesign program with TEA, she became the founding Principal of Hall Success Academy in 2020.

Dr. Strahan lives by the belief that you need to live your own dream no matter what it is because no one is going to experience it but you and your life should never be left in someone else’s hands.
