I am new to Clubhouse.
First and foremost, I am a true beleiver and follower of Jesus Christ who rescued me from the snare of enemy which manifested in my life through narcisssitic abuse. The process of my awakening began when I felt the presence of my warrior angel strike me on shoulder strike my shoulder and tell me to " Get Up!". Before I got up I knew I was in the presence of a force that had no empathy for me. There standing before me holding a knife to my face was the reality of what I had been involved with for many destabilizing and confusing years. The real battle was about to begin. Having been an electorally prepared nurse teaching in higher education most of my career, little had I known my education and career had just been one of the ways God was preparing me to use my life experiences, survival instincts and voice to use the darkest moment of my life and use it to help save others from the tormenting patterns of narcissistic abuse. Author of Hot New Release, a #1 Best seller in personality disorders and self-help abuse, I am on a mission to use my professional experience in teaching to bring awareness to this very complex yet widely misunderstood public health issue; my translational research skills to bridge the gap that exists in the research which seems to focus on NPD , not narcissitic abuse syndrome which is plaguing millions. Narcissists typically don't seek mental health treatment in fact the traits include lack of responsibility, empathy & personal accountablity. The intent of highly manipualtive behavior patterns which include blame- shifting, pathological lying and gaslighting is to evade being exposed. We cannot change anyone except ourselves and most of us realize the narcissist, like the psychopath won't change. My approach includes shifting the focus onto victims who currently are not acknowledged with a viable and appropriate diagnosis which leads and supports recovery. This needs to change.
