Dr. Joy K Alston is a philanthropist and game changer. She is a Published Author, Motivational Speaker, Radio Host, CEO of Kimyon’s International, a natural beauty care line, Kimyon’s Beauty Supply, and most importantly the mother to an amazing son.
Through her leadership Kimyon’s International has shipped to 8 different countries in the last year alone. Kimyon’s International was the Grand prize winner of the $15k Small Business Contest for the entire United States. She has been featured in two national magazines and a documentary, The Film: The Black Friday 2: The Living Legacy World Tour. Dr Joy was on the front cover of the International Magazine Upwords, June 2019 edition. Kimyon’s International was featured in major retail locations: The Market at Macy’s in Lenox Square Mall in Atlanta, GA for Summer 2019. With sound direction the business also has a commercial on the OWN Channel and over 44 billboards in NC, SC, and GA. Now the brand is in 12 major retails across the country.
Dr. Joy is the author of the children’s book “Clover’s Curls” and will be releasing another book soon.
In the midst of the pandemic, Dr. Joy transitioned her online beauty Supply store into a brick and mortar in Archdale, NC all debt free in June 2020, exactly one year later from starting the business.
