Jennifer is the CEO/Founder of Stride and a child welfare innovator. She has a positive compassionate, and enthusiastic personality bringing 15+ years of experience and a special brand of empathy to her work. Jennifer holds a master’s degree of Social Work from the University at Albany in New York. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist associate with a wealth of experience working with the vulnerable population. Jennifer is rostered in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) through the NC Child Treatment Program.
As the CEO/founder of Stride, a trauma informed treatment home for abused parents and their children, she has a passion for innovation and influencing change to decrease the number of a) abused children, b) adverse childhood experiences, c) individuals entering the criminal justice system, d) mental health or substance abuse diagnoses, and e) negative physical health outcomes.
As a doctoral candidate with the University of Southern California, Jennifer focuses on tackling one of the 13 grand challenges of Social Work “Build Healthy Relationships to End Family Violence.” Jennifer has a passion and specific focus on developing innovative solutions to decrease intergenerational transmission of trauma.
As a university-level educator and researcher, Jennifer focuses on cultivating the role of evidence-based clinical practice intervention, decreasing implementation gaps, improving outcomes of the economically disadvantaged.
As a private-practice mental health treatment provider with extensive skills and a specialty in trauma work, she has a talent for utilizing a strengths-based approach in assessment, determination of goals and implementation of strategic interventions. Jennifer is pursuing her passion and helping families across generations decrease intergenerational transmission of trauma and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Stride.
