My name is Ajanne Downer, I'm from Detroit and I sign my work under the artist name Ajanne.

I find inspiration in anything really because I mostly write in my bedroom or bathroom, which has influenced my creative style and process. I create art because It always starts as random thoughts in my head. Then I decided to piece some things together and my cousin kept asking me to create something. I specialize in Pen and paper as my main usage. I focus on how I’m feeling, my environment and whatever I’m around. Sometimes that includes my friends as well. I crave working in silence because when the juices start flowing I can’t get distracted. My art style is I think of it as soft dreamy pop rnb with an alternative twist because I sing anything that come to mind. I am motivated by Florence Welch from Florence and the machine, Sia, and Billie Eilish is recently added to the list, Stevie wonder, and honestly any other greats that write their own material. I have been creating art for 8 years. My favorite artist is Ariana Grande and I find their work to be daring! I connect with the art community by mostly using tiktok and Instagram. My work has been shown on SoundCloud, Apple Music, and Spotify.
