Bio

Dr. Matt Wilson is currently Senior Director for Philanthropy for Embry-Riddle University Athletics. His focus is on major & annual gift fundraising, cultivating endowed & term scholarships, and donor relations.

Prior, to Embry-Riddle spent close to 20 years teaching Sport Business on the college level where his research focused on college coaching contracts. His work has been published in Time Magazine, USA Today, Inside Higher Education, and on ESPN Radio.

A former college and professional baseball player, Dr. Wilson is an active national speaker on team building, leadership, and communication development. He has presented to numerous professional associations: National Rugby League Players Association (Australia), Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association, USTA/ITA Coaches Conference. He has also worked with numerous intercollegiate athletic departments, coaching staffs, teams and individual athletes.
