I’m President of the Air Quality and Exposure Science Division at AirPhoton.com in Baltimore. Formerly an Associate Professor (full-tenure) in Environmental Engineering (Canada), Assistant Professor in Community Health and Epidemiology (Canada) and a Teaching Fellow in Public Health Engineering in the UK. I have over 30-years experience conducting research and consultancy in Occupational and Environmental Health with a special focus on outdoor and indoor air quality and characterizing the biological, chemical and physical characteristics of aerosols. In addition, I am currently a project scientist on the NASA NAAMES Marine Aerosol project (https://naames.larc.nasa.gov/participants/). More recently I have developed an instrument for sampling airborne Covid followed by PCR analysis. I am the first to sample the air for Covid in Maryland, indeed many US states. To date my team have sampled numerous facilities that include gyms, sports centers and an indoor electric vehicle raceway. We have also conducted personal exposure sampling for airborne Covid.
My non-professional activities include looking after our two dogs, racing motorcycles and shredding my electric guitar.
