Doug Imbruce is the Co-Founder and CEO of Podz.
Previously, he was the Director of Product Management for Yahoo! in New York City, responsible for Yahoo!'s portfolio of mobile video applications. Prior to Yahoo!, he was the Founder & CEO of Qwiki, acquired by Yahoo! under the leadership of Marissa Mayer.
At Qwiki, Mr. Imbruce led a team that created web and mobile applications with a combined reach of tens of millions of users. Several of Qwiki's applications were recognized by Apple on annual "Best of" lists. Qwiki's technology also powered Bing, Time, Newsweek, ABC News and other leading web publishers.
Imbruce has been named several times to Business Insider's list of the top 100 innovators working in the New York and Silicon Valley tech communities.
Before Qwiki, he created a network of web sites that helped high school students and working adults pursue higher education. The network was acquired by a private equity firm in 2008.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Imbruce worked for Warner Bros. Television and Comedy Central.
Doug graduated from Columbia University, where he is on the Columbia College Young Leaders Council. He has also served on the Board of Advisors for Pencils of Promise and is an active angel investor.
