I have scientific expertise in the fields of neuroscience (neural mechanisms behind drug addiction), molecular & cellular pharmacology (molecular mechanisms behind mutations induced cardiovascular diseases) and more recently oncology/hematology. In addition, I write blogs and records journal club videos with cannabis-oriented research scientists on how cannabis may be used therapeutically to treat medical conditions.
I have more than six years of scientific writing experience as evidenced by 8 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals. I am an effective oral communicator having presented my PhD thesis work at many biomedical conferences nationally. I was the travel award recipient at the Biophysical Society Meeting in San Diego in February 2020, in which I was chosen as a guest speaker in the cardiac muscle regulation platform. I was also nominated for the outstanding research assistant award in April 2020 at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. I have strong project and time management, conflict resolution and continuous mentorship and leadership experience.
I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013 and a Ph.D. in Molecular & Cellular Pharmacology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine in 2021.
