At Ranpak (NYSE: PACK), we design and manufacture environmentally sustainable, paper-based packaging solutions for e-commerce and industrial end-users to protect their products for shipping. All of our packaging material is 100% paper, biodegradable, and curbside recyclable. We have over 30,000 end-users worldwide, from small mom-and-pop’s to the largest e-commerce players.
As for art (to paraphrase something I read somewhere), ruins have a special pull on our psychology. They are monuments to human ingenuity that have broken, decayed, and are well past their useful life. At the same time, they remain fixed in time and will outlive us all, unchanged, by thousands of years. In my work, I seek to explore how these monuments look today and, by decontextualizing them within negative spaces, freeze them in time. (I also draw classic motorcycles as a palette cleanser.)
